Electronic Invoicing

VeriFactu

Our VeriFactu-certified software enables companies and self-employed professionals to fully comply with all VeriFactu regulations.

We also work with software providers so that their customers can comply easily and without complexity. We provide a Statement of Responsibility confirming that Docuten meets the requirements of the VeriFactu regulation in accordance with Order HAC/1177/2024.

What is VeriFactu?

The VeriFactu Regulation is a new system regulated by the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) aimed at ensuring the integrity and transparency of invoices issued in Spain. It focuses on the mandatory use of certified Invoicing Information Systems (IIS), which guarantee the authenticity, preservation and traceability of records, as well as the ability to submit them directly to the AEAT.

Who is affected by the entry into force of the VeriFactu Regulation?

All companies and self-employed professionals required to issue invoices with an annual turnover below €6 million.

Territorial scope: applicable throughout Spain, except in regions with a foral tax regime, where the TicketBAI system already applies.

Exemptions

  • Companies and self-employed professionals already subject to the SII
  • Companies and self-employed professionals with no obligation to issue invoices.

Penalties for non-compliance

Taxpayers, including companies, businesses and professionals using invoicing information systems, may face fixed fines of €50,000

What are the deadlines?

In addition to the already established deadline for adapting Invoicing Information Systems (IIS), set for 29 July 2025, the following entry-into-force dates apply:

Complying with VeriFactu

With Docuten, compliance is a simple process, eliminating any technical complexity.

You can continue managing your electronic invoices as usual, while the platform automates the rest of the process. You can work through our web application or integrate easily using Docuten’s API.

Legal compliance with Docuten’s certified software

Docuten is the certified solution for complying with the VeriFactu Regulation. Its streamlined approach ensures compliance without complexity, both nationally and internationally.

Prepare for the Crea y Crece Law while working with VeriFactu-certified software and meeting all requirements of the Anti-Fraud Law.

We simplify the process of sending electronic invoices in compliance with current and upcoming regulations (including the Crea y Crece Law), through channels such as FACeB2B, Peppol and all Public Administration General Entry Points (PGE), using an invoicing system that preserves the required format and delivery channel for Public Administrations.

In addition, Docuten allows you to meet the requirements of your private customers, regardless of the format they require, enabling invoice delivery to any type of recipient and keeping all your invoices organised within a single platform.

This diagram visually represents the complete invoice issuance and tax reporting process with Docuten, differentiating between:

  • Recipient types: B2G, B2B, B2C
  • Channels: FACe, Peppol, email, Crea y Crece platform, etc.
  • Formats: Facturae, UBL, PDF, etc.
  • Tax reporting: SII and VeriFactu

If you are a software provider with invoicing capabilities, we help you adapt

Providers of Invoicing Information Systems (IIS) are required to adapt their software before July 2025. This also applies if you are a franchise that provides invoicing software to your franchisees.

At Docuten, we have been delivering complex invoicing projects since 2009, enabling us to support this adaptation process in the simplest possible way.

Easy integration

Easily connect your system to Docuten’s VeriFactu API.

Regulatory compliance

Ensure compliance with the Anti-Fraud Law without technical complexity.

Time saving

Optimise your processes and offer a reliable solution to your customers.

What about companies that self-invoice their suppliers?

The VeriFactu Regulation also establishes specific obligations for companies that issue self-invoices on behalf of their suppliers. This type of invoicing, commonly used in sectors such as agriculture, livestock farming or subcontracting, is not exempt from complying with the regulatory requirements.

At Docuten, we can help. We specialise in working with large organisations and complex scenarios, and we provide an API that enables seamless integration of our services into any of your company’s systems.

Large companies already rely on Docuten to comply with the law and increase efficiency.

Organisations from different sectors have already digitised their invoicing processes with Docuten, automating invoice issuance, complying with regulations and gaining operational efficiency.

Success story:

In addition to issuing its invoices, it reports to the SII with Docuten.

Outsourcing this obligation ensures that we always comply with the different legal requirements associated with invoicing systems, without having to constantly adapt our own systems.
